Ideas for Temple-Related Activities
Find ideas for families and individuals to improve temple understanding and worship.
We invite you to prayerfully set individual or family goals. We recommend simple and clear goals. No one is tracking your progress. This is your choice.
Some have found it best to start by trying a few of the following activities. As time goes on, you may try other things or set other goals. Once you get going, the spirit will guide you.
The following are few ideas to help feel the benefits and blessings of temple and work. Start with things you are most comfortable with or things that interest you.
Carry a current temple recommend
Participate in temple ordinances: baptisms, endowment, or sealings
Participate in temple ordinance by proxy for deceased family members you found
Plan to attend ward temple night (to be scheduled)
Attend a Relief Society or Elder’s Quorum temple activity
Read a book, article, conference talk, or story about the temple
Add a temple photo to the ward “temple” wall
View church-sponsored or uplifting videos on the temple, garments, ancient temples, etc.
Take a child or grandchild to a temple and walk around the grounds, sharing stories
Teach your children or grandchildren something about the temple
Invite a ward TFH consultant to visit your Sunday School, RS, EQ, YM, YW, primary class or presidency meeting to speak for a few minutes about the temple
